Happy new year to all! I hope you had a relaxing break and spent some quality time with your family and friends. Kate and myself had a few days down at the beach which was a wonderful start to 2012. We even managed to convince a few friends that a group circuit session on the beach was a good idea – at 9am on New Years Day!
But of course it was a good idea, and after a refreshing swim in the ocean followed by a recharging Sonofa Bircher Muesli, everyone was energised and ready to go for the day. Less than 2 hours after our workout we were back down at the beach, strutting our stuff in the surf on Stand Up Paddle boards!
There is nothing like getting active to make you feel better about yourself and to make the most of the holidays. Any kind of exercise releases all sorts of happy chemicals which make us feel great, and the more you do it the better you feel – even if it is just for the satisfaction that you are doing something for yourself and for your health.
If you have just one thing that you want to improve in 2012, can I suggest that you make it your health, as this is everything. If you start to take care of your health then the rest starts to take care of itself. You will have more energy and focus to squeeze the most out of each day and you will have the strength to push through adversity. With Energy, Strength and Focus, what can’t you achieve?
